Changes Coming to Hat Brats Fan Club

Hello, Hat Brats! I hope 2022 is treating you well and you are staying healthy throughout the craziness that is the world today.  I’m looking forward to being back on the road in March, and hearing you all sing along. It’s so appreciated!!

I’m writing you today so you can be the first to know that some changes are coming. We are currently working on a NEW website that will launch in early April, and with a new website comes changes. The biggest change you will notice is that the current version of the Hat Brats that you’ve come to know will no longer be available. You will no longer be able to log in to the website and new fan club packages will no longer be available.

What does this change for you? Not much! You will still continue to receive the same presale code perks, including receiving them for free, via your email address. We’re also working up new merchandise, so if you are bummed you won’t receive a Hat Brat tee, just wait! Additionally, we are working on a free official Facebook Group that you can join, interact with each other, get exclusive content, and this will allow me to hop on from time to time to spend time with you all “virtually”. We’ll have fun contests that can be held in the Facebook Group and fingers crossed, if the world allows, meet and greet opportunities.

It means so much to connect with you all, and I’m so thankful for the many years of your Hat Brats memberships. I truly feel we can accomplish this connection on Facebook even more! Please be patient during this transition process and I promise it will be worth it.

Stay tuned for more! You all are the best. Cheers!

“Little Drummer Boy” Out Now!

To get into the holiday spirit, Terri Clark has released her own take on a holiday favorite, “Little Drummer Boy.” Hear her version NOW.

“I could only put so many songs on my first Christmas album, It’s Christmas…Cheers!, last year. After we finished recording it, we thought what else could we do to keep the spirit going into the next year? Since “Little Drummer Boy” is a lot of people’s favorite song, we thought we’d put a new spin on it, and put it out this year. I play the guitar and my drummer Chuck played the percussion part. It’s a really organic version, that I hope you love!”

Terri has also autographed more It’s Christmas…Cheers! vinyl records. Get yours, and other holiday merchandise, before they are gone. Shop NOW.

Grand Ole Opry Celebrates Milestone 5,000th Saturday Night Broadcast

The Grand Ole Opry®, the world’s longest-running radio show, celebrated its historic 5,000th Saturday night broadcast last night with a star-studded lineup of Opry member performances including Bill Anderson, Garth Brooks, Terri Clark, John Conlee, The Gatlin Brothers, Vince Gill, The Isaacs, Chris Janson, Dustin Lynch, Darius Rucker, Jeannie Seely, Connie Smith, Trisha Yearwood, and Chris Young.

The show opened with more than a dozen Opry members announcing via video in the screen of the Opry’s signature barn backdrop, “Live from Nashville, Music City, USA, this is the 5,000th Saturday night broadcast of the world-famous Grand Ole Opry!” The first musical selection of the night celebrated Opry pioneers who heard the Opry on the radio then brought the musical styles from their regions of the United States to the Opry stage. Among the opening songs featured were “Wabash Cannonball,” “Jambalya,” “San Antonio Rose,” “Blue Moon of Kentucky,” “Coal Miner’s Daughter,” and “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” as performed by Bill Anderson, Connie Smith, The Gatlin Brothers, Darius Rucker, Terri Clark, and Chris Janson, respectively. The next two hours featured a mix of country music styles celebrating the past, present, and future of country music and led to show closers Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, who offered several of their biggest hits and a duet on “In Another’s Eyes.”

Last night’s milestone show concluded a month of celebrations: a limited-time tour exhibit “Opry Memories: Celebrating 5,000 Saturday Night Broadcasts,” special programming on BBC Radio 2 in the United Kingdom, SiriusXM, the Opry’s flagship WSM Radio, and the Opry’s television broadcast home, CIRCLE Network, hosted special programming this week to preview tonight’s Opry show. The first of last night’s two shows was streamed live on Circle Network, including its Circle All Access Facebook, Twitter and YouTube channels.

WSM Radio began to air the show that would become the Grand Ole Opry in 1925 before expanding to television and eventually digital streaming platforms. The Opry has been on the airwaves longer than any other broadcast program of any medium anywhere in the world and has continued to produce original shows for 5,000 Saturday nights through the Great Depression, World War II, two Nashville floods and, most recently, a global pandemic.

Frontline Friday – Caytlin Shehane

I’m honored to post stories of frontline workers. I want to personally thank them for their hard work and for reminding us that hard times don’t create heroes, they reveal them. – Terri

Bart Lunn’s Tribute To Caytlin Shehane

My daughter, Caytlin Shehane and her husband Chase. They are both respiratory therapists, working with Covid patients in Nashville. Chase has spent the past two months working in Texas at a hospital that needed help, a true example of a volunteer from Tennessee. They are my front line heroes!

Frontline Friday – Jackie Hart

Donna Hart’s Tribute To Jackie Hart

I nominate Jackie as she puts her heart and soul into her work for her clients. She plans many in house activities to keep her clients busy during these difficult COVID times. Because of COVID they can’t get out in the community like they normally do. Jackie keeps her clients busy at home with meaningful activities. She has even worked with her clients to make gift baskets to hand out for volunteer week and nurses week. Jackie has also organized numerous fundraisers for the local Special Olympics. Not only does Jackie go above and beyond for her clients but also her family and friends and the community. She is a very giving person and never expects anything in return. I would be very grateful if you showcased her as one of your Friday Frontline Workers.
